Update to Version 1.31

- fixed a bug that caused the user interface to be invisble on machines not supporting shaders.
- Last release was missing linux jogl binaries. Added in again. No idea why they didn't make it last time.
- it's open source now. you can find the source at http://code.google.com/p/quantum-game/

Thanks to debloxx for figuring the bug out!

Quantum is a realtime strategy in the spirit of Galcon and Dyson. You are in control of creatures that orbit planets. You can colonize new planets by moving creatures to them. To create new Creatures you have to build trees on the planets. The new born creatures will then inherit certain properties from their home planet. The goal of the game is it to eliminate all enemy creatures and overtake all their planets.

You can play it in single or multiplayer mode and create new content in game. see the website for more information!

you need a better management system, it's basically impossible to keep up with the computers. maybe you could have it where I drag the mouse, select a bunch, and clink on a planet sending them all there, even if its not simply 1 space away

hi,

there was a bug concerning this ove arrow you talk about. it was related to the different rendering paths that are used on cards without shader support. it is fixed in the latest release

Wstray, there is an arrow on the link between two planets. You have to drag this arrow towards the next planet to have the creatures move.

i really like it, its very interesting... cant help but notice the similarity to Galcon

overall though the tree building and different strength adds a multiple layers to the strategy of the game

Hi,

could you try to clear your java applet/webstart cache? I assume you used the webstart version. You could also try the zip version from the website.

sorry for the inconvenience

I can't play it because
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)
....
Caused by: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jogl in java.library.path
